Established in 1965, Government District Hospital Khammam has grown to become one of the largest and most trusted public healthcare institutions in the Telangana region. Spanning over 15 acres in the heart of Khammam city, our hospital is equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced medical technology to serve a population of over 2 million people across the district.
Our mission is to provide accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare to all sections of society, with special emphasis on marginalized communities. We operate under the auspices of the Telangana State Health Department and adhere to the highest standards of medical ethics and patient safety protocols.
The hospital is a recognized teaching institution affiliated with the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal. We train medical graduates, nurses, and paramedical staff, contributing significantly to the healthcare workforce of the state. Our research division actively participates in clinical trials and public health studies.
In the fiscal year 2022-23, we treated over 350,000 outpatients and performed more than 25,000 surgical procedures. Our community outreach programs include regular health camps in rural areas, vaccination drives, and awareness campaigns on maternal health, tuberculosis, and non-communicable diseases.
